Kristina Janicas



Kristina is a licensed nurse practitioner specializing in anti-aging, regenerative and functional medicine. She uses an integrative, evidence-based multifaceted approach (physical, psychosocial, genetic, environmental, diagnostic and alternative testing) to identify the root causes of chronic conditions with a focus on prevention and treatment.

Her focus is using alternative and conventional treatment modalities that are client driven to ensure optimal results. Her extensive training and experience distinguishes her as a leader in this field.

She has a thorough understanding of chronic disease prevention and management, hormone replacement therapy and sexual health treatments. She provides primary care to clients requiring specialized support for agencies in the community.

Additional Training + Experience

Kristina has been trained in treating musculoskeletal injuries with joint injections by international specialists, as well as specifically using prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP) as a treatment modality.

Her extensive experience and training includes specialized psychotherapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, narrative therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy aiding in the treatment of those with post-traumatic stress disorder, psychiatric disorders and chronic pain.

Kristina has been published in the Ontario Journal for Developmental Disabilities, regarding the use of exercise in the treatment of individuals with an intellectual and developmental disability. She has also been featured and published in multiple health magazines, as well as evidence based journals regarding her expertise in psychiatry and hormonal imbalance.

She has experience and formal training in traditional Chinese acupuncture and personal training.

Her past experiences include the role of a psychiatric nurse, infection control practitioner, an occupational health nurse for an acute care hospital, clinical instructor, clinical trial coordinator and patient care coordinator.
